[20160215] Whoo! Clap Clap!

Hey guys,

This is Kenneth.

I had a very long day at school today, its our thesis consultation. But you know what? even though I was pretty tired, it wasn’t the reason why I wanted to go home early. The reason why I wanted to go home early is because, RAINBOW had released ‘Whoo!’. You guys should watch it first!

Okay, first of all, all of my expectations were reached! It even exceeded! Wow! I’m just speechless! Finally, RAINBOW used their colors well this time. Let’s talk about the music video, wow! I’m really impressed, it wasn’t that extravagant, its really obvious that DSP Media spent a lil bit less this time, tho I must say, its really good. I really like how RAINBOW used their colors, literally. I think the ‘RAINBOW’ concept itself is a perfect deal for these girls, I mean, look at them, don’t they look good in every colors of the rainbow?

Now, about the song. I think DSP Media did an amazing job in distributing the singing lines this time, Noeul and Yoonhye got pretty good amount of lines here, it really shows how perfect and in sync a group’s song would be if all the members are doing their respective parts in the team. As expected, Jisook and Hyunyoung did the high notes since they’re both main vocalists. Woori’s rap, classy and sexy. Seungah and Jaekyung did pretty good as well, the members’ vocals are really improving a lot.

Then the girls, wow, just wow! All of them looks beautiful, I know that RAINBOW is a very versatile group, they can do cutesy, sexy, etc. But seriously, this could be the best cute song from RAINBOW ever. ‘Whoo’ is like a mixture of ‘A’, ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ and ‘Sunshine’.

This part from the mv really reminded me of ‘A’ because of the vibe of the scene, reminded me of ‘Mach’ because of the shoes and reminded me of ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ because of the outfit.

Sorry, I am biased. But can you really try not to love Jisook in this MV? I mean, look at her, she looks so fine in green. I just love this girl so much!

If I were to rate this comeback song from 1-10, I would give it an 11! This is so good! It gives the listener energy and the feeling of excitement! I just the feedback from people would be positive and the respond would be favoring the girls as well.I’ll be looking forward for their comeback stage! Ow! you guys should watch ‘Whoo!’ MV as many times as you can, alright?

Download RAINBOW’s 4th Mini Album ‘Prism’ here! : Click me, I love Jisook!

Please show much love and support for them, I wish my RAINBOW girls all the best! RAINBOW fighting!

[20160210] Whoo! The RAINBOW is about to rise

Hey guys,

This is Kenneth.

Today, I’ll be paying tribute to seven equally stunning ladies that are as beautiful and colorful as a rainbow, DSP Media’s ace girl group, Rainbow.

I’ve been a fan of kpop in 2009, Rainbow debuted 2009, I’ve learned about them in 2012 through their song ‘A’ which was released in 2010, yet, that song wasn’t enough for me to stan them although I became a fan. Then in Feb 13, 2013, ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ was released under their first Korean studio album ‘Rainbow Syndrome Pt.1’, I went gaga over them then. I really fell in love with Jisook. Then ‘Rainbow Syndrome Pt.2’ was released in June 2013 promoting their title track ‘Sunshine’. In 2013, it was all rainbows and butterflies for me, I was literally fed with good music, I guess if I am to give annual awards that year, I would give them ‘Cutest Song of the Year’, ‘Cutest Girl Group of the Year’, ‘Cutest stage outfits for a Girl Group of the Year’ and everything that you can think of just to give Rainbow acknowledgement and recognition for being cute and at the same time good singers.

Even though Rainbow is one of the legendary kpop groups for having been present in the industry for almost 7 years already, they are yet to claim the number 1 spot in music charts and music shows. Rainbow has produced so many hit songs in the past, yet, these songs aren’t enough to make then number 1. My personal faves are ‘Tell Me Tell Me’, ‘A’ and ‘Mach’. Well, ‘Sweet Dream’, ‘Black Swan’ and ‘To Me’ could be my sentimental faves.

So yeah, RAINBOW is coming back this month! I’m really excited about this comeback! It has been a year since they’ve promoted, the girls have worked so hard preparing for this come back, Hyunyoung even included her self composed songs. According to DSP Media ‘Whoo’, the title track, will be a fun song, somehow channeling ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ and ‘Sunshine’ days. Even though Rainbow tried to pull off the sexy concept, which is not really bad, I mean these girls are both cute and sexy and its good that they’re showing their different sides and colors as an artist. But yeah, I guess being cute suits and fits them well, specially Jisook and Hyunyoung.

Until now there aren’t any music video teasers yet, just pictures, so here you guys can have a taste of whats Rainbow is cooking for us this 15th..

Look at those shoes, wow, they’re representing their respective colors well. I’m loving Yoonhye’s styling. Woori was a little bit unnoticeable with blonde hair, but she’s very pretty. Hyunyoung’s cotton candy hair is so fluffy, looks good on her. Noeul finally found her best look, I think her hair suits her a lot. Seungah looking so elegant and sexy, definitely the one in charge of the s-line. Jaekyung, of course, the charismatic leader, looks fab as always. Then my baby Jisook, those curls are just so cute!

When DSP Media posted this picture, it said ‘Unit #1’, I was like “seriously? another unit”, then I noticed that these girls were actually representing the 3 primary colors, Blue, Yellow and Red.

‘Unit #2’, Then, I’m liking this unit more lol. Look at them, denim really makes them look sexy. Of course, the secondary colors, Purple, Orange and Green with the bonus, Indigo.

Let us all support and cheer for Rainbow! Rainbow fighting!

Bonus: Jaekyung with her younger brother, N.Flying’s Jaehyun. This is their first performance as siblings, Jaehyun even sang lol.

[20160116] The Rainbow has risen once again

Hey guys,

This is Kenneth.

Finally, the RAINBOW has risen once again. Well, at least this time we didn’t have to wait for a very long time since the release of ‘Black Swan’ was just a year ago. Anyway going back, RAINBOW debuted on November 2009 with ‘Gossip Girl’, and to be honest the girls didn’t left a strong impression unlike the other 2009 girl group idols whom are very established nowadays, 2NE1, 4Minute and T-ARA to name a few.

I’ve become a fan of Rainbow only in 2012 after I discovered ‘A’, considering that the song was released in 2010. So yeah, after that, I started following Rainbow, my favorite member is Jisook! take note, when I found out that the members were living up to their name and are representing each of the colors of the rainbow, I didn’t know that Jisook was the one representing green, which is my favorite color as well, making me think that we are match made in heaven lol.

Let’s talk about their music, first, Gossip Girl. I’ll be honest, when I first listened to the song, I wasn’t amazed at all, Jisook doesn’t even have a single line in the song considering that she’s a main vocal, I find it really weird for her not to get a single line in gossip girl. ‘Not Your Girl’ came as a follow up track, but still it had no impact. Then the historic hit song ‘A’ was released in 2010, the infamous ‘ab dance’ was the one who brought Rainbow to fame. Musicality wise, the song is very catchy and the steps are very easy to dance along with. ‘Mach’ came, it was nice follow up song since it had the same concept, appeal and style with A, the momentum was still there (I don’t like the outfits in this era though). In 2011, there were two hit songs, ‘To Me’ and ‘Sweet Dream’, ‘To Me’ even reached no.1  in Gaon Streaming Singles chart for that month. Both of the songs in 2011 were Rainbow’s game changing songs, it left the public a very different feel, I really don’t know exactly how to put it but both of the songs were very dramatic and artistic in a way, the choreography were on point as well.

Rainbow’s first ever sub unit, Rainbow Pixie debuted in 2012. The sub unit is composed of members Jisook, Hyunyoung and Seungah. The sub-unit debuted with ‘Hoi-Hoi’, in fact the song is pretty good and the beat is very catchy, but, it wasn’t enough to catch more fans that time when most of the successful groups today are debuting.

Then, Rainbow fell into a 2-year hiatus which definitely affected Rainbow’s popularity. In a span of 2 years, a lot of new debuting idols are getting into the spotlight while the girls are busy doing individual activities, there isn’t even a single activity that is promoting the group. Rainbow faced a massive decline.

After their two-year hiatus, Rainbow came back with A 2 part studio album, ‘Rainbow Syndrome’. The first part had 6 songs with the title track, ‘Tell Me Tell Me’. To be honest, Tell Me Tell Me is such a nice song, I was really wondering big time why it didn’t even won a single music program, the highest position Rainbow reached with ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ that time is only 3rd spot when it actually reached no.1 in Gaon’s weekly regional album chart in the same month. Fans have been waiting so long for the girls to comeback, now that Rainbow came back with a very nice song, they didn’t even managed to support them full time, I heard that there are feuds between international and Korean fans at the time. Anyway, Part 2 was released, it has 7 songs and ‘Sunshine’ was the title track. Okay, at the time it was released, the hype of ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ was still there that is why I assumed that it would finally make Rainbow achieve the no.1 spot in any music program, but I was wrong, the highest part it reached was 2nd place. ‘Sunshine’ is a total upgrade of ‘Tell Me Tell Me’, even though the feel is the same, it was actually an upgrade, the only thing that I can call out is that Jaekyung had too many lines, they could have given Noeul and Yoonhye more lines since they only had one line each in Sunshine.

In 2014, RAINBOW BLAXX debuted, Rainbow’s second sub-unit. RAINBOW BLAXX is composed of members Jaekyung, Woori, Hyunyoung and Seungah. Hyunyoung and Seungah were members of Rainbow Pixie though, I thought at first it would be Noeul and Yoonhye in their places since they’re already members of Rainbow Pixie, but its not. They promoted ‘Cha Cha’ as the title track. The girls garnered a huge amount of fans because of the very sexy and a little provocative image they showcased.

In 2015, Rainbow once again came back as a group following another 2-year hiatus. Rainbow came back with 3rd Mini Album, ‘Innocent’. It has 6 songs and the title track was ‘Black Swan’. It was another game changing song from Rainbow, from fierce ladies to cute and lovable ones to dark and strong ladies this time around. Jaekyung describes the song a little weird at first, but, when you get to listen to it a little bit longer, you’ll finally fall for its addictive rhythm, which is true. ‘Black Swan’ is a little odd at first, but when you get to listen to it a few more times, it just gets better and better. I also loved ‘Bad Man Crying’, the choreography is just so sexy.

Well, since Rainbow is prepping for a February comeback, I am really excited! I wonder which color from the rainbow is Rainbow going to showcase this time around. I wish Rainbow all the best!

[20151116] Tada! My first post! 내 첫 번째 게시물이에요!

Hey Guys,

This is Kenneth.

Born and raised in the Philippines on July 13th 1994, so basically I am now 21 years old. I am currently a 3rd year student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Pulilan Campus taking up Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.

I opened this personal blog so that I can be able to convey my feelings, thoughts and ideas I have in mind. To be honest, I am not that really good with such things but I’m here to explore the things that I can possibly do.

Hmm.. I guess, I have to tell a little bit more something about myself huh?

Kenneth is an alien, when I say alien, it means that the stuffs I do sometimes are out of this world that annoys other people lol. I love eating (well, who doesn’t), I love green stuffs (don’t get me wrong) my favorite color is green, hmm I’m a bit narcissistic (well, I love myself), I’m an active leader in our campus and I have represented our campus in various events/programs already, the Class President (in our class) and the acting Student Council President of the campus (there isn’t actually a formal election or stuff, our Director actually appointed me when I was in first year lol), during my free time I enjoy playing Clash of Clans, and most of all, I LOVE KPOP!

If we are going to talk about KPOP, I guess this post will not be enough. I’ve been a kpop fan ever since 2009, it started when I heard the news about my first love Sandara Park, I heard that she debuted in Korea as part of the girl group 2NE1. I have loved Dara ever since her SCQ days in the Philippines that is why I was so happy to learn about her new found career in her own nation, South Korea. The first 2NE1 song I’ve heard was “Lollipop” with BIGBANG, followed by the very addictive tracks Fire and I Don’t Care then the rest is history.

Today, I can really call myself a multi-fandom type of a kpop fan. After discovering 2NE1, it opened a lot of doors in the kpop industry for me, I couldn’t even remember when I started being a fan of other kpop groups that I’m into nowadays. After 2NE1 in 2009, there came a very similar talented group that just like 2NE1 I’ve started rooting for them even before they debuted, that group is BTOB. There are a lot of talented groups in Kpop but until now even if others may disagree, I would say that for me 2NE1 and BTOB is in the same level, same level of charisma, talent and they just both overflow with this feeling I can’t even explain by words. Until today, even if I’m loving so many groups now, only 2NE1 and BTOB had that impression for me.

Should I at least enumerate all the Kpop groups I’m a fan of? First, those whom have complete songs in my playlist, in the first tier 2NE1 and BTOB! I have all of their songs, pre-debut songs and even if they’re just featured in a song, my biases are Park Bom (I miss you Bommie!) and Peniel respectively.

Second tier, Girls’ Generation, biases are Hyoyeon and Taeyeon. AOA, bias is ChoA, VIXX, bias is Ken.

Third tier, BIGBANG, bias is Seungri, 4Minute, bias is Jiyoon, BEAST, bias is Hyunseung, APINK, bias is Bomi, EXO, biases are Baekhyun and D.O, Rainbow bias is Jisook, KARA, bias is Seungyeon.

Fourth tier, RaNia, bias is Alex, G-FRIEND, bias is Yuju, C-Clown, bias is Ray (too bad they disbanded), Girls Day, bias is Minah, WINNER, bias is Jinwoo, Orange Caramel, bias is Raina, GOT7, bias is Yugyeom (Happy Birthday Yugyeom!), F(x), bias is Luna, Dal Shabet, bias is Woohee, EXID, bias is Hyerin

Fifth tier, Miss A bias is Fei, DMTN, bias is Jeesu, APRIL, bias is Yena, LEGEND, bias is Jaehyuk, SISTAR, bias is Dasom, Red Velvet, bias is Joy, SHINee, bias is Jonghyun, Ladies Code, bias is Rise (rest in peace, my angel)

Special mentions: 9Muses, Noh Jihoon, G.NA, IU, Lee Hi, Joo, N-White, Spica, Hello Venus, Ailee, Tiny-G, Chocolat, U-Kiss, Secret, T-ARA, Playback, Twice, SKarf, CNBLUE, Gummy, BTS, NU’EST, Eric Nam, SE7EN, Wonder Girls, Davichi, Jewelry, Tablo, F-VE Dolls, G.I and Akdong Musician.

Can you guys even imagine how many songs I have in my playlist? lol. Anyway, I’ve been writing my first post for like 2 hours though HAHAHA.

Hmm.. at this rate, I think I’ve been talking for so long already so I’ll be ending my first post with this closing commemoration quote from me, “speak without judging, think with understanding”.

See you again!
